Almost an hour, to be exact, and a $25 cab ride that should have only taken 8 or 9 minutes and coated a fraction of the amount. Yeah, I’m still mad about it. This show, however made up for it. I couldn’t help but tap my foot and sway a little to the bumping soundtrack. I actually have to follow up and find out who was on it. Apparently, a few celebs were in the audience as well, namely Solange Knowles and Ashley Tisdale. Yet, I digress.
Silk in its many forms dominated the collection: noticeably chiffon and garbadine. What was done with it, however, defined it. It was tucked and hanging in every imaginable way, notably on some of the dresses and pants. Patterns were also prevalent in the show, with turquoise stripes and navy polka dots featured in some of the pieces. Also, a bejeweled blouse made an appearance towards the end. The colors were mainly white and black with a few brighter hues of turquouse, lime, and royal. All in all, the collection was solid and energetic as its accompanying soundtrack. I personally preferred the plainer pieces, such as the white tuxedo dress.
