The first thing I was struck by was how his first 15 looks or so were all beige in color with gold trimmings. Right when I was expecting a very tame and neutral collection, the second phase of the show was almost like we were transported into the future, with blacks, sequins and highlighter colors on structured , almost spacey , shapes. The final “phase” of the collection gave way to color blocked dresses and tops, obviously yet cleverly inspired by the works of Mondrian. The show as a whole flowed with ease between the various stages and Shamask intended on this by focusing on Zen and tranquility and then ending with the strength of Superman. I think any girl wearing that red, blue, and yellow finale dress would feel empowered too!
