NOMIA S/S 2012 PRESENTATION.

Yara Flinn of Nomia really set the mood right for her SS 2012 collection, starting with an abstract video showing models wearing a few of her pieces in exotic looking locales. The grainy yet sultry images on screen gave way to a lit catwalk where the first model walked out with sea foam trousers and a burnt orange top, starting off with an almost earthy feel . She mostly used color blocking with the natural browns and lighter shades to add a strong punch to the slouchy, draping fits. Although the use of patterns was very subdued, Nomia shone the strongest with its surprising defining touches , such as my favorite looks with wing and leaf-like designs placed daintily on the dresses.
