He must have been very inspiring as her collection surely reflects. The models were lined up against a wall mugshot style while a steam machine blew and drinks were served on a platter to guests. The steam added to the mystique of the collection which I can best describe as characterized by desert mysticism. Cactus-colored and poppy gowns, olive tanks and vests, dusty rose pants, navy, black, and bone-colored pieces together with interesting choices of jewelry reminded us of a desert oasis. The pieces themselves are given names that reflect this atmosphere: “Arizona Queen Gown,” “Creeping Devil Dress,” “Golden Barrel Choker,” “Desert Rose Necklace” for a few examples. The collection’s choice of patterns was tastefully blended with the color palate as well, featuring triangles, chevron, and pinstripe. The pieces themselves ranged from shorts and tanks to shirtdresses, skirts, and denim. Very well done. Easily one of my favorite presentations so far.
