Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti’s off site show was something out of a fairytale. Not only were American Vogue, and Italian Vogue (franca!) represented, but our new It Girl in Paris, Emmanuelle Alt was in attendance. The two room runway presentation was for the girls to walk through each room, and remove their coats. This was obviously a push for outerwear in the collection. The pastel and blush tons of pink blue and yellow really made this collection stand out for the usually gothic, dark, and urban fall collections we have been seeing. One of the most interesting things about the show was its huge French influence. Ferretti incorporated impeccable Italian tailoring into the French chic of the jacket, skirt, and dress. Because of the elevator taking too long for fashion’s elite most people decided to take the stairs, where our Vogue Paris homegirl Emmanuelle took a tumble, (in Balmain, of course). This collection was a breath of fresh air and I’m sure all countries represented would agree.
